Einar O. Vik-Mo is the head of Surgical Neuro-Oncology section at the Department of Neurosurgery at Oslo University Hospital and a professor at the University of Oslo. His clinical work focuses on gliomas surgery, intraoperative diagnostics, awake and intraoperative neurophysiology and outcome studies. His research interests span from tumor cell biology, through translational models and how these can be used to improve patient outcomes. He has led translational clinical studies exploring dendritic cell therapy, patient derived cell cultures for functional drug screening and introduced intraoperative nanopore-based molecular diagnostics.
